• Pain- any complaints of unexplained or undiagnosed pain.

• Nausea 

• Unexplained diarrhea (twice within the last 12 hours)

• Vomiting (With-in the previous 12 hours)

• Difficulty breathing 

• Fever of 100.4° F or higher WITHOUT medication within the last 24 hours. 

• Runny nasal discharge

• Lethargic demeanour or inability to participate in daycare activities

  Difficulty swallowing or a sore throat (especially if accompanied by a headache or stomach ache) 

• Infected skin or eyes-redness, itching, pain, discharge, swelling

• Severe itching of body or scalp 

• Has an undiagnosed skin rash

• Has any condition such as a cough that appears to be worsening through the day

• Any known or suspected communicable disease

• Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease 10 days after diagnosis. Or a Doctor's note stating the disease name and stating noncontagious. All rashes/blisters must be covered and the child must be able to swallow and control ones drool.

• if a child is ill enough to be put on antibiotics, please keep them home for the following 24 hours for the antibiotics to take effect. 

 

               If your child has become ill while at home, Skills For Life requires notification as soon as possible. By informing the daycare promptly, we can inform other families that attended the daycare to watch for symptoms of contagious illness.
